A PERFECT COVENANT

Hebrews 10:1–18 explains that the old sacrificial system was only a shadow of the good things God intended and could never fully cleanse the worshiper. Repeated sacrifices reminded Israel of sin rather than removing it. Christ, however, came in obedience to God’s will and offered Himself once for all, accomplishing what the law could not. Through His single, perfect sacrifice, believers are made holy, their sins forgiven, and no further offering for sin is needed. The passage ends by emphasizing God’s promise: He writes His law on His people’s hearts and remembers their sins no more.
