A NEW COVENANT AND OUR CONSCIENCE
Mar 8, 2026 • Joe Schwenk
The author describes the structure and rituals of the old covenant tabernacle, emphasizing that its repeated sacrifices and restricted access—especially the high priest entering the Most Holy Place only once a year—could never cleanse the conscience. These practices were symbolic, pointing forward to something greater. Christ, however, entered the true heavenly sanctuary once for all, offering His own blood rather than that of animals. Through this perfect, voluntary sacrifice, He secured eternal redemption and purified our consciences so we can serve the living God.
