Because Jesus has opened a new and living way into God’s presence through His sacrificial death, believers can now draw near to God with confidence, cleansed and assured by Christ’s finished work. The author urges the church to hold firmly to the hope they profess, trusting in God’s faithfulness. Flowing from this confidence, believers are called to actively encourage one another—stirring each other toward love and good works—and to remain committed to gathering together, especially as the Day of Christ’s return draws near.
