JOY

John 1:1–14 proclaims the eternal Word becoming flesh, and when we connect this to Advent and Christmas, joy becomes central. The Incarnation is not only God’s light breaking into the world’s darkness, but also the source of deep rejoicing: “the true light that gives light to everyone” has come. Advent joy is more than seasonal cheer—it is the gladness of knowing that God Himself has drawn near, dwelling among us, bringing grace and truth. Christmas celebrates this joy: that in Christ’s advent, heaven’s glory meets earth’s need, and we are invited to receive Him with hearts full of hope and delight.
